  • Why not Wyandotte!

    I read all the Leather-stocking tales years and years ago. I loved them all. To now find other J.F. Cooper books I have yet to read was a surprise. Cooper's use of the language, vocabulary, politics and insights of the time give credit to his prose. His insights into interaction among high born English, Dutch, Native Americans as well as immigrants and black slaves helps us relive a time when the Frontier was but 50 miles from Albany NY. Many surprises for the reader are in store. I could imagine a movie made of it. It's been a great find to know he has other books for us all to enjoy. I say give Wyandotte a turn. Maybe slow to start but keep going as you soon will find it hard to put down.
