    Mark started out writing this book for his three sons but it is even bigger than he had imagined. It speaks to everyone of us - not just parents. This book was life changing for me as it makes me want to be a better person. Mark lived more in the last three years of his life than many of us live in a lifetime. Having a son in the Army and experiencing the challenges to families when fathers are deployed , I understand the strength that a spouse and children must endure.     I didn't know what to expect when I bought this book. Having finished it, I can say that few other books have affected me this much. Mark was simply an outstanding man who crammed a lot of living and insight into life in his 41 years. I wish I could have met him in person, though reading his book makes me feel that I understand him. I plan on getting copies of this book for my three sons and my son-in-law. Rest easy, Mark. You have served us all in so many ways.
